The U.S. House Needs to Get Back to Work

TUXEDO, NY – Republican and Conservative Congressional candidate Chele Farley calls out the U.S. House for not coming back into session today. The House was scheduled to return to Washington DC before Democrats abruptly canceled the plan.

Farley released the following statement:  “We have been asked to shelter in place to slow the spread. We have, and the results are paying off. But it is time we start the path forward to safely reopening our economy.”

“Congress should lead by example by returning to session as scheduled today to resume the people’s business. It is insulting that Democrats think Congress can’t figure out how to conduct its business while safely social distancing.”

“If I were in Congress right now, I’d be in Washington demanding the doors to the House are open. Sean Maloney should be doing the same. The people of the 18th congressional district deserve no less. Leaders need to lead.”
