FARLEY OUTPACES MALONEY IN FUNDRAISING
Incumbent posts the lowest numbers since taking office
TUXEDO, NY – Chele Farley for Congress, Inc. raised $200,000 in the first week of the campaign. This is the fastest pace for any Republican challenger in NY-18, and effectively matches what Sean Patrick Maloney raised in the first three months of this year.
According to a report filed yesterday by the Sean Patrick Maloney Committee with the Federal Election Commission, Maloney raised $217,617 in the first quarter of 2019. He has $137,061 cash-on-hand as of March 31, 2019.
Below is a breakout of Maloney’s first quarter fundraising numbers for each of his terms:
Q1 2013: $515,260
Q1 2015: $609,938
Q1 2017: $583,280
Q1 2019: $217,617
Maloney has raised less than half what he raised in each of the past three cycles.
“These fundraising numbers show that Hudson Valley voters are ready for new leadership in Congress. They want a strong voice representing them. They want a representative that shares their values, not someone who has lost their way by supporting policies like the Green New Deal,” said Chele Chiavacci Farley. “I’m ready to go to Washington to put the Hudson Valley first and be a champion for hard-working families.”
